The Illinois Library Computer Systems Organization (ILCSO) recently
kicked off the celebration of its 25th anniversary, which will culminate
at next summer's ALA annual conference in Chicago (the actual
anniversary date is 7/7/05).

As part of the 25th anniversary celebration, the ILCSO Public Relations
Committee has put together a "brief history of ILCSO":

http://office.ilcso.illinois.edu/Reports/prcom/brfhist.html

This document is divided into the following sections:

SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION AND TECHNICAL HISTORY;
FISCAL HISTORY;
RESOURCE SHARING HISTORY;
GOVERNANCE HISTORY;
ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY;
THE FUTURE OF ILCSO AS AN ORGANIZATION
