SZABIST & CDA in Collabration Presents
DHOOM FESTIVAL
Oct 11, 2004 At Convention Islamabad
Introduction to the Event
Students of SZABIST Islamabad were invited by Punjab College of Technical
Education (PCTE), Ludhiana, India to participate in a one day festival
organized and hosted by them. Seventeen students of SZABIST participated
and bagged three prizes. The entire trip was sponsored by PCTE. The
students of SZABIST gained an acquaintance with the students across the
border.
In Order to promote love, peace and harmony between the youth of both
countries SZABIST in collaboration with Capital Development Authority (CDA)
has also arranged a one day event called D h o o m Festival on the 11th of
October’2004 at Convention Centre Islamabad. In this event various
universities of Pakistan are participating and PCTE India has also
confirmed its participation.
The basic idea behind this event is to promote Pakistan with peace, love
and harmony among the two countries. It is a step towards friendship that
SZABIST has initiated to understand cultural, traditional & educational
technologies of both countries. This event is for a national cause, since
we realize that Pakistan’s Foreign Policy has changed and it is encouraging
Student Exchange Programs, the students of SZABIST desire to take this step
for the Pakistan and seek your cooperation in this regard.
A step that we realize is very essential for our country. It will open
doors for the youth – a youth that can bring a small difference but a big
change. Since it is an international event we believe that this mega
festival will attract the media. Sponsoring this event will definitely add
to corporate image of your company.
The festival includes various events like drama, duet singing, modeling,
group dance, turn-coat, dumb charade & sells it. (Details of which are
enclosed) The organizing committee of Dhoom is negotiating with
professional artists to judge the events.
SZABIST has taken this step; we hope that you will make it success with us.
