I have two questions.
1) does anyone have sufficient experience or perspective to comment on
whether there is a "dominant OPAC vendor" that is, one that is found at
a majority of libraries?
2) In light of the advent of the Yahoo-Google partnership with WorldCat
to heighten the public's awareness of library holdings, does anyone know
of consortia or OPACs that search across a significant number of
libraries to show "live" holdings? (e.g., what's really available as
opposed to simply owning the title.)
