CROSS-POSTED, APOLOGIES FOR THE INCONVENIENCE

I'm working on an article for Searcher: The Magazine for Database
Professionals and would like to learn about any existing image-based search
interfaces for image databases. Basically, I'm trying to find out if
anyone's working on or has deployed a search interface that lets you build a
query through or with the assistance of images rather than only with
keywords and controlled vocabulary. With all the recent work in face and
body recognition/video/image database, my thought is that may be suitable
for this kind of search interface.

I've seen LTU Technologies' Image-Seeker demonstration at
http://corbis.ltutech.com/, so references to anything similar are welcome.

Thanks very much,
