standards-based automation systems that also adhere to standards such as
Z39.50 and the ILL standard ISO 10160/61? It's not to hard to find
stand alone systems that are fairly easy to maintain, but I'm really
looking for an ASP solution or something that requires little
maintenance. I know this is a lot to ask for, but just thought I'd
throw out the question. There are several small libraries in Colorado
that don't have the staff and budget resources to purchase and maintain
a server. We do have some existing automation consortia that have been
a good solution, particularly for small libraries. One of the consortia
is using the Dynix Horizon software ASP version. This has worked out
pretty well for several libraries that just want to worry about
circulation, interlibrary loan and other core modules, but not have to
deal with maintaining there own server. The other consortia are using
Innovative Interfaces and Follett software. Any ideas?
