DOCUMENT DELIVERY SERVICES LIBRARIAN:  Auburn University Libraries seeks a
knowledgeable and enthusiastic document delivery services librarian to
provide leadership in planning, developing, and implementing document
delivery/ILL services; to stay abreast of technological developments
related to information delivery; and provide leadership and consulting on
copyright issues. Duties include maintaining and continued improvement of
the interlibrary loan services and system (moving from ILLiad to
Endeavor), document delivery services, and courier services; assisting
with bibliographic problem solving; hiring, training, supervising,
evaluating, and other administrative duties and responsibilities related
to the unit's six support staff members.  Position reports to the
Assistant Dean for Information Services.  REQUIRED:  An ALA-accredited MLS
with a strong academic background; strong and effective interpersonal,
communication, computer, and teaching skills; commitment to excellence;
strong service orientation; adaptability, flexibility, and ability to
contribute collegially and productively in a team environment; and ability
to adapt emerging technologies to enhance user services in a
collaborative, busy, and changing public services unit. DESIRED:
Experience with document delivery and ILL, including supervisory skills
and the ability to work well with staff; strong bibliographic verification
skills; ability to work independently; public relations skills, and a
strong instruction component; HTML and Web page development experience;
familiarity with national and international ILL protocols and procedures,
copyright issues; experience with the OCLC interlibrary loan subsystem and
information delivery computer software; and a record of scholarly,
professional, and research activity. Twelve-month tenure track position.
Benefits include 20 days vacation; 12 days sick leave; participation in
state teachers retirement (mandatory); other additional voluntary
retirement plans available; health/life/disability insurance.  Salary
$39,050 minimum, higher with experience.  Application review process
