MICHIGAN TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The J. Robert Van Pelt Library seeks two experienced, flexible
librarians to join our progressive, user-centered team.  Located among
historic communities and beautiful natural surroundings that support
year-round recreational activities, the Library offers a work
environment conducive to the development of broad professional skills
and the cultivation of specialized proficiencies and interests.

HEAD OF ACCESS SERVICES:
We are looking for someone with a strong public service orientation and the leadership skills to manage the library's front line access services including circulation, course reserves, both electronic and traditional, stacks, annex and interlibrary loan/document delivery.  The position requires a MA in Library or Information Science from an ALA accredited institution; two years current professional experience in an access or public services position; and supervisory experience.  Professional experience in an academic or research library and professional experience using the Voyager library management system is preferred. 

REFERENCE & INSTRUCTION (CHEMISTRY) LIBRARIAN:
As a member of a progressive, user-centered team, the Reference and Instruction Librarian will provide leadership in the development and delivery of value-added reference, research and instructional services that support teaching and learning in science and engineering.  Will serve as departmental guide in the assessment, adoption and implementation of reference resources and the ability to flexibly respond to changing user needs.
