We have been using Direct Access for two workstations for over a year and are
very satisfied. The password feature allows us to enforce time restrictions an
d reservations for use at specific times.

You can make ONE Windows application secure by setting it to be the shell
in SYS.INI (or possibly WIN.INI): usually you have Program Manger or File
Manager as the shell, but if you make an application the shell, then you
can't get out of it withoutclosing down Windows.
What you don't seem to be able to do is to have two or more applications
running, but not Print Manager or File Manager.

Fifth Generation reps tell me there is no Windows version of Direct Access avai
lable yet. They say they/re working on one but didn't give any indication of r
elease date. They also tell me that the current versions of Direct Access and
Direct Access Network will not support Windows applications.
