I suggest that you look at Voyager (Endeavor) or OLIB (Fretwell-Downing
Informatics). Re. articles, check the Library Technology Reports journal,
you will find several issues where you can find the exact information you
need.

Subject: Catalog Systems

My assignment for cataloguing class is to report on an area of
cataloging/bibliographic control and present this information orally to the
class. I selected various cataloging systems: DYNIX, NOTIS, INNOPAC, EX-
LIBRIS, HORIZON.

I would like to be able to construct a chart just listing some of the
strengths and weaknesses of each system and then I could supply a little
bit of history about each system and give example of libraries that use
each system. If you could just name/explain 3-5 advantages and
disadvantages for some of the systems mentioned with which you're familiar,
that would be great. And if you could name books/articles where I might go
for more detailed info , that would be a great help also.

Which of the systems mentioned do you favor ? why?

Thanks,

Tom LaSalle
