The TopicMap approach is somewhat useful, but I don't agree, as Gerry
Mckeranan predicts, that it is "the future of digital navigation!" One of
the problems with this particular display arrangement is that many of the
top-level labels are obscured. Even shrinking the font size doesn't resolve
that problem, nor does enlarging the applet window. Mouse behavior is also
erratic so sometimes the labels move by themselves. For folks with eyesight
problems, trying to navigate graphically with this scheme will be difficult.
Those who use HoTMetaL PRO 6.0's site management tool's Web View will
recognize the Star Tree style of map which is what Inxight Software
currently calls this tool.
