Topic: Distance Education, Electronic Reference and Library Service
Join a discussion of the many ways libraries are attempting to meet
customer needs by providing electronic reference and other informational
services to support students on campus as well as distance education
programs at the Midwinter meeting in New Orleans.
Discussion will focus on marketing electronic reference in web-based
course management software as well as best practices for electronic
reference. The discussion will bring together reference librarians,
administrators and IT experts dealing with the logistics of setting up
such services and the plethora of platforms available to use.
