Oral Roberts University Librarian-Interlibrary Loan/Public Services

Faculty position; 12 month.  Experienced Interlibrary Loan Librarian needed.
Someone with a strong public service orientation is needed with leadership
skills.  Demonstrated knowledge of OCLC interlibrary loan subsystem as well
as expertise with electronic information resources and interlibrary loan
software programs and a working knowledge of current practices for copyright
compliance are essential.  The position is part of the reference staff and
includes part-time reference duties, as well as occasional bibliographic
instruction.

Requirements:  Master of Library Science (or MLIS) from an accredited ALA
institution.  A minimum of two years interlibrary loan experience and two
years professional experience in a public service position, particularly
reference, and preferably in an academic setting.

Primary Responsibilities: Manage all phases of Interlibrary Loan activities.
Evaluate and process incoming and outgoing interlibrary loan requests.
Prepare monthly and annual statistical and financial reports.  Keep abreast
of current developments and changes in interlibrary loan resource sharing.
Recommend procedural changes to facilitate efficient operations and keep in
step with network trends.  Investigate changing user needs for shared
library resources and make recommendations accordingly.  Participate in
reference functions including a shift at the reference desk.  Provide and
co-ordinate distance learner services.  Base salary $32,000 based on
education and experience.
