The ACRL University Libraries Section Standards and Guidelines Review
Committee is in the process of assessing the need to revise 3
documents: Standards for University Libraries, Guidelines for
University Undergraduate Libraries, and Guidelines for Branch
Libraries. To collect information on the use and value of these
documents, we've devised a brief survey that appears in the attachment.
We'd appreciate it if you'd take a few moments to complete the survey
and return it to me at lgoetsch@deans.umd.edu by June 6. Two other
alternatives for taking the survey are available--it is on the web at
http://www.lib.umd.edu/UMCP/PUB/acrlserv.html and as also printed in
the April 2001 issue of College and Research Libraries News.
In addition to the survey, the committee is holding an open forum at
ALA in San Francisco on Saturday, June 16 from 11:30-12:30pm at the
Cathedral Hill Hotel, Embarcadero Room. Please share this information
with your colleagues and encourage them to attend.
Feedback from users (and non-users) of these documents is important to
our work. We appreciate your time!
