You can also do it with an intermediate page, such as those linked
from: http://library.boisestate.edu/ejournals/index.htm Pick an
ejournal from the list for a demo.
(You won't be able to get to most of them unless you also license
them, but you'll see the principle involved with the intermediate
page).
Of course neither technique works when faculty and students simply
bookmark the site of their favorite ejournal and go to it directly.
My two wishes:
1. Ejournal publishers providing usage stats.
2. Database providers providing comparable usage stats (as opposed to
each of them tallying something different)
