I don't know what number you used, but it sounds like you ***may***
have reached a document ordering line; the service representatives are
trained to be very careful about what they say, since some of the
documents/information they handle is company-proprietary. And SuperBook
is a product available for sale; the person you talked to may not have
understood exactly what you wanted.

Bellcore is the research & development arm, a wholly-owned, non-profit
subsidiary of the 7 "Baby Bells." Since it develops products exclusively
for the "Baby Bells" and its other clients, Bellcore's work is proprietary.

Bellcore is the research and development arm of the Regional Bell
Operating Companies (RBOC's). It was created during the AT&T
divestiture process and provides the same services to the RBOC's as
Bell Labs does to AT&T. I have heard of Superbook and know several
people at Bellcore, so I will inquire as to how to contact Mr. Egan or
if another person might be more appropriate. Secrecy/territoriality
tends to go with any R&D operation, and Bellcore is no exception.
