Please join us in a discussion of the issues and challenges for
"Marketing Library Services to the Virtual Patron." Most of us realize
that the Internet has become "the" portal to library resources and
services for many patrons, and as the dot.com generation begins to enter
our colleges and universities, their familiarity and comfort with
electronic resources will pose both challenges and opportunities for
service delivery. Getting library users of all types to understand these
services we can and will provide, as well as marketing these services,
is clearly something we are all dealing with currently, and is likely to
become increasingly important as we venture further into this brave new
cyberworld. Come and join us. Share your ideas, tell us what you think,
what you're doing, and collectively we can all reach a greater awareness
of the issues and challenges before us.
