Sorry for duplication, am sending this to LIBNT-L and PACS-L.
I have downloaded Evidence Eliminator to my machine and set it up to do
what it says it will do. I wanted to see if it would wipe out all the
evidence of where you had been, what you were doing, sites
you visited, files you downloaded, etc..
I have always been disturbed by the way each computer saves the cookies,
how each program writes its inquires either to the registry or another
file. Example =AF I like google, and although I set my computer to wipe
our all the IE temp files and memory of URL's visited, if I go to google
and start a search, it automatically brought up places I had been if they
matched the first letters I typed.
EE eliminates all those files, and cleans the registry of this type of
information and seems to be doing that very well on my computer even
though it says it has problems with W2000 that it doesn't with 95/98.
Lots of our students (patrons) back out of IE completely to stop anyone
from following their history or going back to see where they have been,
and I would like to use this on those computers so when it reboots it
would wipe all evidence of where they have been. I also know that the
police have used the evidence found on computers to prosecute and this
evidence was found even after the files had been deleted, etc. This
program claims to eliminate that type of evidence also

So, after a long explanation I have 2 questions.
1. Is anyone using this =AF If so what is your experience with it?
2. Is this overkill? Am I barking up the wrong tree, could this be done
in and easer manner? Should I
even be worried about this.
