Providing excellent public access to a variety of media services is one of
the goals of this position.  The individual selected will have the
opportuinty to be involved in designing and delivering new media services
from the expanded and renovated library and information center.

Media Services Head. Responsible for overall design of media services and
classroom technologies. Consults, coordinates for SMS system. Supervises
Educational Media, AV, Multimedia Development Lab and Computer Lab (6
staff, 40 Student Assistants). Reports to Dean, Library Services. Meets
faculty requirements. Required: ALA-MLS or Master's/Doctorate in
Instructional Technology, Instructional Design or Media. At least 3 years
increasingly responsible experience supervising media services in an
academic environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
ability to work collaboratively with all levels of constituencies. Strong
leadership/problem-solving abilities. Familiarity/ability to analyze
educational technology developments. Preferred: Experience with innovative
media; planning technology for new/remodeled facilities. Classroom teaching
experience. Salary $50,000 minimum. Rank & Salary dependent on
