Dear Friends:
In a few weeks I have the enviable chore of introducing faculty members at
the University of Vienna (Austria) to the "Wide World of Networking."
Although Austria is very much connected to the Internet universe, its
faculty are still very much in the "dark ages" about new technologies. My
job is above all to *excite* them in a non-threatening way about these
technologies. You know the story, I'm sure!
What I need from my cyber-colleagues is: What would *you* do if you had
to turn on skeptical professors (with diverse backgrounds) to the
wonders of the online world? Please email directly to me. If you have
any speeches or others materials, I'd love to see them!
A bit of background on me: I speak German, know Austria very well, so
that's not a problem. I also was Director of PeaceNet (igc.org) before
coming to the Department of Politics and Society here at UC Irvine.
