Greetings from Seattle and the University of Washington Libraries.
Apologies to those who might have gotten duplicate mailings.; I'd like to
announce the creation of a new LISTSERV for library support (or
paraprofessional) staff: LIBSUP-L. I thank the University Libraries
administration for agreeing to have the list established here. I see the
list as a forum for discussion of library-related issues of interest to
support staff. These may include salary issues, job descriptions,
announcement of positions or conferences, working conditions and the like.
I ask that the list members avoid the usual topics: politics, religion,
death, taxes, "flames". Although aimed at support staff, anyone may
subscribe to the list. The subscription address is:
