Mary and Jeff Bell Library Positions

Access Services Librarian:

Manages, supervises and oversees the operations and staff of the
Circulation, Reserve, Stacks Management and Interlibrary Loan units of the
newly integrated Access Services Department.  Supervises Circulation and
ILL staff personnel.  Develops and coordinates policies and procedures for
access services for all library users, including distant learners.
Participates in the provision of reference service, occasional library
instruction and collection development in assigned subject area.
Qualifications:  Required:  MLS or equivalent from an ALA accredited
program.  At least three years experience in interlibrary loan and/or
circulation services in an academic library.  Experience with online
circulation systems, electronic requesting and document delivery
technologies.  Excellent written and oral communication skills;
demonstrated strong commitment to library-customer focused services. Must
work cooperatively and tactfully with library staff, faculty, and students.
 Preferred:  Subject Master's degree.  Experience in an automated
interlibrary loan environment using ARIEL technology.  Experience with
resources-sharing consortia.   Experience in creating and maintaining web
pages.  Reference experience is highly desirable.

Reference/Information Literacy Librarian:

Acts as liaison with the faculty in collection development and library
instruction.  Provides reference service to on-site and remotely located
faculty, students and community users.  Maintains user aids to electronic
resources.  Teaches library instruction workshops for users. Some night and
weekend shifts.
Qualifications:  Required: MLS or equivalent from an ALA accredited
program.  At least two years experience in reference and library
instruction in an academic library.  Excellent written and oral
communication skills; knowledgeable in the creation and maintenance of web
pages; demonstrated strong commitment to library-customer focused services.
Must work cooperatively and tactfully with library staff, faculty, and
students.  Preferred:  Subject Master's degree.  Advanced knowledge of web
page design and development.  Looking for an energetic person with
initiative and creative ideas
