TECHNICAL SERVICES/USER SERVICES LIBRARIAN, St.Gregory's University,
Shawnee, Oklahoma is accepting applications for the position of  Technical
Services Librarian.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Bibliographic instruction and library orientation;
development of research tools (including development of Internet based
virtual library services); reference assistance to students, faculty, staff,
and other researchers; and outreach to the campus and community.

TECHNICAL SERVICES LIBRARIAN DUTIES INCLUDE: Original and copy cataloging,
collection development, ILL, technology implementation, and troubleshooting.
The scheduled hours are Monday-Friday, 8-5. This is a 12-month,
faculty-status position. As faculty members, the librarians are required to
take part in the academic committees and meetings. A master's degree from an
ALA-accredited program is required.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE at least 2 years technical services
experience in a library setting, working knowledge of LC classification,
AACR2, and an automated library system. Knowledge of print and electronic
sources and services is required. Experience with other computer
applications is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in classroom
teaching; familiarity with Web editing software or HTML is needed. Strong
interpersonal skills a must. Salary is dependent on experience and

Gregory's University is a Catholic university providing undergraduate
degrees in business, humanities, natural science, social science, and
theology. The campus has an enrollment of around 800 traditional and
non-traditional students. SGU, the oldest institution of higher education in
Oklahoma,  is located in Shawnee, a city of 26,000, just 35 minutes east of
Oklahoma City.
