I am shocked! Such blasphemy. This can't be.
According to Apple's web site (http://www.apple.com/imac/):
"Learn one Macintosh software application and you’ve got a pretty good
handle on them all. Because all Macintosh applications work the same basic
way, with convenient pull-down menus and with icons that represent familiar
tools and objects"
"Turn your new iMac on, and your friendly Setup Assistant asks you a few
simple questions (the kind you know the answers to, like your name and phone
number). Then it walks you through the steps of getting online, and helps
you connect. Presto, instant Internet."
Of course the PowerMacs should have no problem with online databases.
As an computer brand agnostic, you have my condolences.
