I have been a subscriber, off and on, since the summer of 1989. One of
the bright spots for me was a question I asked about resistance of
library staff to the introduction of CD-ROM services. Of the 25 or so
responses I got, two were from journal editors asking me if I was
interested in writing an article based on the responses. My publication
record (such as it is) took off from there.
