Custom Gateway Planning for Electronic Resources!
Join us from 11:30-12:30 on Saturday, June 26 at the Hilton Riverside, Oak
Alley Room
for a 'hot' discussion on the topic of constructing custom subject access
to networked
electronic resources. Should these resources be identified outside the
OPAC, even if
your OPAC is Web enabled? What scheme are you using for gateway subject
headings? How
are you integrating 'gateway' resources with your ILS? What groups work on
this project,
and what kind of charge do you have? Are you using programs to automate the
way gateway
resources are generated, or are you maintaining static Web pages
individually?
Come to share the goals, tribulations and successes of providing electronic
resources
to users in a logical, proactive way.
