If you are using Windows NT, you could define a user (say, "Worduser"), assign
permissions such that only Worduser has rights to access the Word program (and
any associated files, which might take some experimentation), and set the times
for which Worduser could log on to your specified times using the Net User
command (if you have NT Server, User Manager for Domains will allow you to do
that through a graphical interface).
Other network operating systems would probably allow you to do something
similar.
