Bruce:
We have line managers at about a dozen sites: small libraries supporting
modem, fax, answering machines, and voice on one phone line. The model we
use most is called "Versalink" and simply identifies fax vs. other calls.
One library has recently installed another brand called the "Interceptor",
which allows for more devices to be plugged in, but I don't know if it sorts
more than fax vs. other.
In general, the line managers are reliable. However, we have found that
they are very suseptable to line surges, and often have to be reset after
electrical storms.
