The ALA 1999 Midwinter Meeting is fast approaching, and the Faxon Company is
once again providing a variety of online conference information on our website
as a service to the library and information community. Check us out at
http://www.faxon.com. We have compiled lists of selected meetings on 1) The
Internet/Library technology/automation, and 2) Serials/acquisitions/collection
development. (Discussion topics and locations are added as they become
available.) You will also find a list of conference hotels with addresses and
phone numbers, a map of the conference area with hotel locations, and a
delicious list of area restaurants and links to other Philadelphia restaurant
sites. As a new service this year, we are highlighting those meetings that may
be of special interest to publisher representatives.
Of course, all of this information will be updated continually and we'd like to
ask for your help. If you know of a meeting that you feel should be listed on
one or both of the files, have topics to add or a great restaurant to recommend,
please message Amira Aaron (aaron@faxon.com) or Dolores Fallon
(fallond@faxon.com). Come to Booth #1525 (Faxon/Dawson) to check for
last-minute updates, pick up a printed copy of the meeting lists and say hello.
