Subject: multi-databases query

Multi-database querying with a single request has now become a
necessity, and you can query every library database at any of Inria's
sites with a tool called Sims, accessible via the Url :
<Url:http://www-doc-rocq.inria.fr/DorisWeb/cgi-bin/SIMS/sims.pl>.

This handy tool allows you to query the monographs, theses, conference
proceedings, tech-reports from the five Inria Research Units. The
periodicals databases will be available soon.

Other databases including non-bibliographic ones, are also accessible:
in fact, this system allows any kind of database or information system
to be queried, regardless of the DBMS used and whatever the nature of
the data, the only requirement being that the information system must
be accessible via the CGI (Common Gateway Interface).

Currently, the system provides access to over fifteen databases - at
least half of which are, in fact, groups of databases; such as the
MathDoc database, which brings together the resources of the main French
mathematical libraries.

So, through Sims, you can access any kind of CGI interfaced database,
such as the world wide preprints database, bibliographic BibTeX
database, tech-reports databases of the NCSTRL project from Cornell
university ... This list is not exhaustive, and we can think of many
other resources covering mathematical or other domains.

We offer you by default, three querying forms

querying the global Inria bibliographic databases.
querying the global Inria bibliographic database, and Calliope,
the periodical contents database.
the above plus MathDoc, BibTeX bibliographic database,
preprints, NCSTRL ....

Other forms do exist, and you will find one dedicated to the
mathematical domain, another dedicated to grey literature, another to
periodical articles.

Other forms will be developed according to user needs.

        The Inria Research Units
                Rocquencourt
                Sophia-Antipolis
                Rennes (Irisa)
                Nancy (Loria)
                Grenoble (Inrialpes)
        Inria documentary resources
For each Research Unit, there are at least two types of
resources : a database containing monographs, theses, conference
proceedings and tech-reports, and one containing the periodical.
        Currently available databases :
                Inria-Nancy (Loria)
                Inria-Rennes (Irisa)
                Inria-Rocquencourt

NCSTRL -- Computer Science Technical Reference Library
(NCSTRL project)
The Collection of Computer Science Bibliographies BibTeX
                Calliope (table of contents)
                Imag-Grenoble
                Jussieu-Mathmatiques
                Mathdoc (French Mathematical libraries)
                Paris-Centre (ENS, IHP, JMR, JPR)
                e-Print archive mirror (preprints)
                Inria publication database
                National Mathematical Libraries Network
                Griseli/Thsauria French project (grey literature).
