searching rut? This workshop will show you
the hidden advanced features of familiar
search tools and the newest tools. The
instructor of this course, a popular
"Supersearcher" will help you improve the
quality of your searching, and reduce
search result "overload". You'll learn
about and web agents, programs that
proactively search and retrieve for you.
Examples of search strategies for specific
queries will show how to choose the right
tool/technique for a search situation. Who
should attend: Reference staff and Internet
trainers, who have experience searching
Internet who want to improve their skills.
Also a good update for those who took the
Search Strategies 1 or 2 courses

Prerequisite: Experience searching the Web
using tools such as Yahoo and search
engines
