I recently installed 3 IBM 300PL pcs as public access Internet computers
running Windows 95, and all three
have come up with identical keyboard problems--the g, h, i, 1, and/or 6
go out on a regular basis. All three keyboards were replaced, but two
of the new ones have begun having the exact same problem. I find it
quite interesting that it's always the same keys. Besides, these are
new pcs and keyboards! FYI, the only additional software they have on
them is Netscape 4.05 and three security packages--Fortres 101,
Winselect, and Norton Anti-Virus. I can't help but think that perhaps
the problem likes in the security software somewhere. Does anyone know
if these particular keys are sensitive to something that means it's
always the same keys going out?
Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? I've begun
contacting the software manufacturers, but nobody wants to claim the
problem. Many thanks!
