DIRECTOR OF NETWORK INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES/ Salisbury Branch
Manager
The Northwest AHEC Library Information Network is seeking an energetic
professional to fill the position of Director of Network Information
Technology Services/Salisbury Branch Manager. This position is located
in Salisbury NC and is part of a nationally recognized Outreach program.=20
Requirements:
=B7 Experience with and working knowledge of medical reference services
(both traditional and electronic), and online searching systems
=B7 Experience installing, maintaining and trouble-shooting computer
hardware and software
=B7 Strong commitment to customer service and collaborative teamwork
=B7 Flexibility to work in rapidly changing environment
=B7 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm in
sharing knowledge
Responsibilities:
Network Responsibilities:
=B7 Responsible for Library Information Network staff development in the
area of electronic hardware and software management
=B7 Works collaboratively with the Director of Network Education Services
to develop training in the area of Information Technology
=B7 Assists in maintenance of Library Information Network computers and

Base Library Responsibilities:
This position will have the following responsibilities related to the

The University of New Brunswick invites applications for the position
of Reference/Instruction Librarian in the Ward Chipman Library on the
Saint John Campus.
Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of this position is to
provide a full range of reference and instructional services.
Responsibilities include: providing general reference and information
services during evening hours and weekends; library orientation and
bibliographic instruction sessions, assisting users with print and
electronic resources; participation and assistance in continuing
development of library web site; participation in collection
development; supervision of student assistants. In conjunction with
other departments in Information Services & Systems, responsibilities
also include coordination and delivery of training programs and
preparation of documentation, during the period from May to September.
Qualifications: Masters degree in library or information science from
an ALA accredited institution is required. The successful candidate
must have: excellent working knowledge of electronic information
resources; strong service orientation, interpersonal skills and the
ability to relate well to various constituencies, including students,
faculty, general public and coworkers. Excellent instructional,
analytical and communication skills are required. The position also
requires exposure to a wide range of applications software and a
familiarity with computers in a networked environment, as well as the
demonstrated ability to adapt successfully to a rapidly changing
environment. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Salary and Rank: This position will be filled at the rank of Librarian
I. The salary range is $31,220 - $38,656.
The Saint John campus of the University of New Brunswick, located in
Tucker Park overlooking the beautiful Kennebecasis River Valley, is a
growing campus which serves a population of 2,000 full- time students
and a large number of part-time students. The Library, with a staff
of 5 professional librarians and 12 support staff, is part of a
combined unit, Information Services & Systems, which also consists of
