The ALA Annual Meeting is fast approaching, and this year, Blackwell's
Information Services and the Faxon Company are working together as a service to
the library community to provide a variety of online conference information on
our websites. Check us out at http://www.blackwells.com, and
http://www.faxon.com. We have compiled lists of selected meetings on 1) The
Internet/Library technology/automation, and 2) Serials/acquisitions/collection
development. (Discussion topics and locations are added as they become
available.) You will also find a list of conference hotels with addresses and
phone numbers, a map of the conference area with hotel locations, and a
delicious list of area restaurants recommended by members of our staffs.
Of course, all of this information will be updated continually and we'd like to
ask for your help. If you know of a meeting that you feel should be listed on
one or both of the files, or have a great restaurant to recommend, please
message us at the following addresses: Amira Aaron (aaron@faxon.com) or Marilyn
Geller (marilyn.geller@blackwells.com). Come to Booth #3524 (Blackwell's) or
Booth #2972 (Faxon/Dawson) to check for last-minute updates, pick up a printed
