Announcement:
Library of Congress Welcomes ALA to DC:
Reception, Programs Highlight Conference

At the Annual Conference of the American Library
Association in Washington, DC, this summer, the Library of
Congress will host the All Conference Reception to welcome
all attendees on Saturday evening, June 27, in the newly
restored Great Hall of the Thomas Jefferson Building.  The
Library will offer many other special programs and tours
designed to appeal to a broad range of interests.

The Library of Congress is also offering dozens of
opportunities for Conference attendees to "Experience LC"
by spending a day or more with employees in an LC unit that
matches their interests.  You can apply to spend a day in
the Cataloging Directorate, in a public service division to
work in collection development, in the Law Library or
Copyright Office.
