CALL FOR PAPERS
REFERENCE SERVICES FOR THE ADULT LEARNER: CHALLENGING
ISSUES FOR THE TRADITIONAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL ERA
I am inviting you to write an article for a special issue
of the journal, The Reference Librarian. The theme for
this issue is reference services for the adult learner.
There has been and continues to be an increase in the
number of adult learners in institutions of higher
learning. Public Libraries continue to serve and educate
the adult learner in diverse ways. How do we serve these
learners whose needs may be different from the mainstream
library patron?
I am looking for contributors who can write about some of
the following issues. Contributors can also come up with
issues they think we should include in the special issue.
