Library Liaison Officer - Immediate Opening
AMIGOS Bibliographic Council, Inc.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Organize, prepare, and conduct training courses and
conference resentations which will enable AMIGOS members to use
technology based library systems; serve as staff resource; provide
consulting to libraries on communications and library data systems;
provide applications and technical support for installations and use of
products and equipment; respond to members requests for operational
information by telephone, on-site visits and letters; assist in
marketing OCLC and AMIGOS services; prepare statistical and narrative
reports; and represent AMIGOS at appropriate state, regional and
national meetings.
REQUIREMENTS: Three years of progressively responsible
professional-level experience with expertise in telecommunications and
library systems; Internet proficiency; ability and willingness to
explore new ideas, excellent oral and written communication skills,
willingness to travel 30% to 50% of the time; exceptional interpersonal
and presentation skills.
