Ithaca College an independent, comprehensive, residential college located in the
beautiful Finger Lakes region
of NY is accepting applications for the position of Multi-media Services
librarian. The incumbent is Responsible
for planning, evaluating and managing multi-media service functions. This
includes acquiring and processing of
non-print materials (videos, films, laser discs and interactive computer
software) used to enhance the
instructional, research and informational needs of students and faculty;
providing film and video rentals for
classroom use; reviewing and updating the collection and advising faculty on
availability of multi-media
instructional resources.
Qualifications:
Required: MLS from an ALA accredited Library School; 3 years professional
experience in a
multi-media/instructional resource/learning resource operation; one year
supervisory or managerial experience;
excellent communication skills; outstanding technological skills and knowledge
of computer hardware and software
and multi-media equipment.
Preference will be given to candidates who have combination of experience in the
areas of collection development,
acquisitions, cataloging and project planning. Send letter of application
