At U of R, we are considering to subscribe JSTOR. We found JSTOR has
some system requirements to be met. Since JSTOR stores articles in high
resolution images, it requires a printing software JPRINT to be
installed in every workstations that have access to JSTOR. Win32 is also
needed to make JPRINT working. Currently, we cannot meet the system
requirements in all of our workstations. If our users need to access
JSTOR from their homes/offices, they need to have the software installed
in their computers too.
Currently, there are over 180 colleges and universities have subscribed
to JSTOR. We'd like to know:
1. How did you deal with the technical issues? Did you provide access to
JSTOR in all your public workstations? Have you met the advanced system
requirements in any of your workstations?
2. How did you deal with the technical issue for remote users? Did you
provide any help in your web page?
Any help will be appreciated.
