Richard W. Boss, Senior Consultant, ISCI, will be offering the
following two workshops at the CAPCON Library Network in
Washington DC.  For more information and registration contact
Lori Hauser, 202 331 4354.

1) Funding Technology:  Competing for Internal and External Dollars.
Date:  November 21, 1997  Time:  9:30am to 4:00pm

Workshop will cover competing for internal budget allocations, as well
as obtaining grants from a range of funding sources to support new
technology acquisition.

2) Getting It Right:  Specifying, Procuring, and Implementing Technology
Date:  December 12, 1997  Time:  9:30am to 4:00pm

Workshop will cover linking specifications to library needs, avoiding
under-or over-specifying, evaluating products and bid responses;
negotiating contracts which protect the buyer, and how to craft a
successful implementation process.
