Doody's Electronic Journal (www.doody.com/DEJ.htm) carries reviews of
medical and health-science books and announcements of forthcoming
books. It is a fee-based service, but nonmembers can preview for free.
One important feature: a weekly e-mail update of books received and
reviewed in the subscriber's chosen specialties.

CHOICE has contracted with Doody's, and will be using a similar format
for our own electronic version, using the database of reviews created
for our magazine publication. We are now in the stage of recruiting
beta-test sites, with plans to start testing in December or January.
