ANNUAL AWARDS PROGRAM
NOVEMBER 11, 1997
Dr. Christine Borgman, winner of the LACASIS Contributions to
Information
Science Award for 1997, will be the featured speaker. Dr. Borgman was
recently appointed to the University of California's Presidential Chair
in Information Studies, which she will hold for five years. The newly
named endowed chair is in recognition of the importance and
interdisciplinary
nature of her research in fields of information technology,
information-related behavior and information policy.
