Cataloger's Desktop as OPAC Interface
For my review of Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery
in Databases (KDD) and another on 'neo-conventional'
thesauri, I am interested in learning of libraries or
other library-like entities, that have, or are considering,
or have thought-about using the Library of Congress
Cataloger's Desktop as an interface to a local or experimental
OPAC.
At this time I am interested in the use of the LCSH
as an interface. Any thoughts about the benefits of
this interface as well as the down-side of such
application would also be of interest.
