Hi
Using Windows 95 there is away to get this done. Though, it might mean
you'll have
to give up the options on the workstation for usage. And you'll have to
use a tape
load of any new software upgrade.
Remove the option from the setup of the computer thereby not allowing
people the
option to gain access to that option.
I'd check with Microsofts Knowledgebase on the internet for this
information on how
to do it. Start at: http://www.microsoft.com

Interesting question it is. Here at the Utrecht University Library in
The Netherlands are settiin up a desktop for students. The desktop is
running on Win95 and offers full WWW, WP51, Word, Excel, Winzip, Eudora
and a limited file-manager. We use a shell of our own to do this,
overriding the explorer-shell. We use the Win95 policy-editor to limit
the possibilities of the user. But we encounter the problem that the
'Save as' screens are not controlable, so we cannot secure the access of
the user to the hard disk.
Many others must have this experience as well. So let's share the
solutions!!

to control Saving and Opening. You can "force"
all saves to drive A or any drive or directory with
additional control over filename & extensions.
