The University of Detroit Mercy invites applicants for a public services
librarian position at the McNichols Campus Library.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  reference desk coverage (including some nights
and weekends), bibliographic instruction, collection development.
Tenure track position requires demonstrated success at committee
work, service, and professional achievement.

QUALIFICATIONS:  MLS or equivalent from ALA-accredited library
school; proven ability to work in an automated environment; some
reference experience; positive public service attitude; excellent oral and
written communication skills.

BENEFITS:  BC/BS or HMO health insurance packages, TIAA/CREF,
10-month contract, tuition remission.  Salary minimum:  $26,500.
