FYI.........

In the wake of the Supreme Court's recent decision
on the Communications Decency Act, there's an
article in the Chronicle of Higher Education (7/11/97,
p.A44) that discusses the CDA from a higher education
perspective.

The author (Virginia Rezmierski, director of the Office of
Policy Development and Education in the Information
Technology Division at the University of Michigan) outlines
why colleges and universities took the CDA so seriously,
and argues that higher education institutions "can't simply
relax" following the recent Supreme Court ruling on the
CDA.
