The best choice you could make is Touchscreen I believe that Nichols sells them.

A trackball is and isn't a good alternative.  I'd alternate them at the
terminals.  Some using mice and others using trackballs.

The problem I forsee in using the trackball exclusively is that alot of
people who can't use a trackball.

Speaking as someone that could be the poster child for the "I can't use a
Trackball
Community"  I'm not able to move the ball accurately it needs a little more
finger sensitivity to move that ball accurately.  After many years of
playing the piano (badly at that) my fingers are unresponsive to the
trackball movements.
