Computer Classroom Specialist
Boatwright Library Reference/Documents Department
University of Richmond, Richmond, VA

POSITION AVAILABLE:  July 1997

The University of Richmond is recruiting a Computer Classroom Specialist to
manage all facets of a new, state-of-the art classroom/lab in Boatwright
Library.  Responsible for creating a learning environment that will
integrate information resources and technology for research and teaching.
Assists students, faculty and staff in using standard campus software and
electronic information resources; trains and supervises student assistants;
maintains computer software and hardware in a Windows NT environment; works
with librarians and lab staff in the development, preparation, and training
components for various classes; explores new technologies appropriate for
the classroom environment.  The individual will be part of the Boatwright
Reference/Documents Department and reports to the Coordinator of Electronic
Reference.

Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. degree required; technical knowledge in the
operation of IBM computer hardware and software (Windows 95, TCP/IP
protocol, and basic network administration); knowledge of computer
applications in an educational environment; excellent organizational,
managerial and communication skills; strong public service orientation; and
the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
