I personally don't see anything more in "push" technology other than
that form of that much-approved skill of a specialist Librarian known
as Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI).
There is an obvious need for some form of intermediary to do the
surfing, or browsing, and call down the information from a disparate
number of sites and present it to those whose time is limited.
I personally would like to be able to switch on my PC at any time and
find that someone, or something, has picked up from all my bookmarked
sites, of which at present 97 are geared toward my gaining information
to assist me in my working day.
