ATTENTION.
All those attending ALA Mid-Winter. The LAMA, Middle
Management Discussion Group will be holding their annual
discussion meeting on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. in
the Washington Convention Center, Room 31. The group will
be discussion "TRAINING AND RETRAINING FOR THE YEAR 2000 :
ASSESSING NEEDS AND EVALUATING EFFECTIVENESS." At the annual
program this past summer, John D. Farquhar, Assistant Professor of
Instructional Design and Technology at Penn State University,
spoke of the challenges facing information professionals due to the
rapid changes in technology. This year's discussion group leader
will be Earl Houser from Penn State University. For more
