Organization: University of SC at Aiken
Library: Reference/Interlibrary Loan. Responsibilities include all
aspects of interlibrary loan; shared responsibility for providing
electronic and print-based services and for the overall enhancement of
electronic resources and services; reference desk assistance;
participation in departmental activities; collection development and
supervision of student employees assigned to ILL. ALA accredited MLS,
minimum 2 years experience with using a range of electronic
information resources including Internet, CDROM and mainframe products
in an academic library required. Also required: Strong commitment to
public service and to teamwork, demonstrated ability to establish and
maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, faculty,
staff and students; effective written and oral communication skills.
Preferred: 2 years experience at post MLS level; familiarity with
automated applications of ILL including ARIEL document delivery
system; NOTIS, CD networking. 12 month tenure track faculty position
at the rank of Assistant Professor. Salary: minimum $30,000.
